Ten minutes now, weeks of better hair
In‑salon treatments at Ae Salon are designed to repair damage, reinforce strength, and protect your hair from ongoing stress, so your cut and color look better and last longer. These services work on the internal structure of the hair—not just the surface—helping you move from “making do” with your hair to genuinely enjoying it day to day.
We start by looking at your hair’s history, texture, and current condition, then recommend a treatment or combination of treatments that support both your immediate goals and long‑term health.
Love your hair: the feeling we aim for with every treatment.
Milbon 5‑Week Treatment Series (SSVR‑Silk technology)
Milbon’s professional treatment system targets damage inside the hair using patented SSVR‑Silk technology—a silk‑based molecule small enough to penetrate the cortex and fill tiny hollow areas (“stick‑shaped voids”) created by color, heat, and environmental stress. By increasing density inside the hair, SSVR‑Silk helps restore elasticity, bounce, and reflection, so hair bends instead of breaking and looks smoother without a heavy coating.
Within that technology, we select from four series based on what your hair needs most:
Smooth
For hair with textural concerns that feels tangled, wiry, or rough to the touch, typically with low to medium damage. Smooth treatments refine the surface, soften the feel, and help hair fall more smoothly so it’s easier to detangle and style.
Moisture
For dull, dry, or porous hair that looks tired and feels thirsty, often after color or frequent heat styling. Moisture treatments focus on hydration and color vibrancy, restoring softness and shine while helping hair hold onto moisture between visits.
Repair
For hair that has been pushed too far—over‑processed lengths, excessive bleaching, or noticeable breakage and brittleness. Repair targets high damage, reinforcing internal structure so hair feels stronger, more resilient, and less prone to snapping.
Anti‑Frizz
For frizz‑prone hair (often wavy or curly) that needs humidity control, refined texture, or more defined wave and curl, usually with low overall damage. Anti‑Frizz helps reduce puffiness, smooth the cuticle, and support a more polished, controlled finish without flattening the hair. Even though it doesn’t flatten the hair, it also can help make difficult to manage hair feel more compact.
Milbon 5‑Week Treatment Series: targeted in‑salon care plus weekly boosters to keep results going at home
How the Milbon series works
Milbon treatments are designed to be both efficient and long‑lasting. The in‑salon portion takes about 10–15 minutes, and each service includes a take‑home set of five weekly boosters. Starting one week after your appointment, you simply replace your usual conditioner with a booster once a week, helping to extend your results for up to five weeks.
Bond building (Olaplex)
Bond‑building treatments focus on the internal disulfide bonds that give hair its strength, elasticity, and shape. Chemical services, heat, and daily wear break some of these bonds over time, leaving hair weaker, rougher, and more prone to breakage.[labmuffin +1]
Olaplex’s bond‑building technology works on a molecular level to help reconnect broken disulfide bonds and reinforce the hair’s foundational structure. Where Milbon’s SSVR‑Silk fills internal voids and improves overall integrity, Olaplex works on the bonds themselves—so the two approaches are complementary. In many cases, we can use them together in a single treatment service for layered support: strengthening bonds while improving density, feel, and manageability.
Keratin smoothing treatments
Keratin smoothing treatments are designed to address frizz, add smoothness, and significantly relax curl and wave for an extended period of time—often several months. They work primarily on the surface of the hair by sealing and smoothing the cuticle, which leaves hair glossier, more polished, and much easier to blow‑dry and style.
This technology predates newer systems like Milbon’s SSVR‑Silk and modern bond‑builders, but it remains a useful and powerful option for guests who want a noticeable change in manageability and day‑to‑day styling time. Keratin services are more time‑intensive and represent a higher investment, which is why they are booked as separate, longer appointments. Different stylists at Ae Salon work with different professional keratin systems; your stylist can explain which option they use, what to expect, and how it compares to other types of smoothing and treatment services.
How treatments support your services
Treatments are most effective when they complement the rest of your service. We may recommend a strengthening treatment before or after a lightening service, a smoothing treatment to enhance a fresh cut, or a moisturizing regimen to keep color looking clear and reflective between visits.
Not every guest needs a treatment with every visit, but when hair is showing signs of stress—snapping, dullness, roughness to the touch—an in‑salon treatment can be the difference between “just okay” results and hair that really shines.
Continue the care at home
In‑salon treatments are most powerful when paired with the right home care. After your service, your stylist can suggest a simple at‑home routine to help maintain strength, shine, and softness between visits.
