About Ae Salon

Ae Salon is an airy, contemporary fifth‑floor loft with ideal natural light, urban views, high ceilings, full HVAC, and generously spaced stations. Located at 11 Tillman Place (239 Grant Ave.), between Post and Sutter in Union Square, it’s one of the most desirable, upscale blocks in downtown San Francisco.

We are a collective of independent stylists and colorists who share a commitment to precision craft, ongoing education, and a calm, client‑focused environment. Each stylist runs their own business within our space while contributing to a cohesive, professional salon experience. Who we’re looking for

We’re looking for hairdressers—stylists, colorists, or those who do both—who are confident in their craft yet humble, open, and pleasant to work alongside. If you value continued learning, thoughtful client relationships, and a well‑run, aesthetically considered space, you’ll likely feel at home here.

The space and products

Ae Salon is a 1,200 sq ft, full‑floor salon with large north‑ and east‑facing windows, exposed‑beam ceilings, and seven spacious stylist stations. We share a core set of care and styling lines—Milbon, Davines, and Olaplex—for backbar and retail. Individual stylists are free to choose their own professional color and smoothing systems (for example, Schwarzkopf or Goldwell) to best support their techniques and clientele.

We are steps from the Sutter‑Stockton parking garage, the historic White House garage across the street, and multiple BART/MUNI stations, making commuting straightforward for both stylists and clients.

What’s included in monthly rent

Your monthly rent includes:

• Secure access with your own key fob for entry (key and fob deposit required)

• Backbar and styling products (including Davines and Olaplex)

• Beverages for your clients (a selection of Nespresso, sparkling water, tea, and wine)

• Three shampoo bowls with adjustable reclining chairs

• Security‑monitored premises

• Sanitizing supplies and housekeeping services

• Laundry and kitchen equipment

• Back break room with stylist storage

• Wi‑Fi access for you and your clients

• Client robes and towels

Owner background

Adrian’s training and cutting technique are rooted in Sassoon methodology. Before the pandemic, he worked in an idyllic penthouse salon overlooking Union Square. After that space closed, he opened Ae Salon to recreate a beautiful, shared environment for independent stylists who value craft, care, and community.
