This product range embodies the precision and refinement of Japanese beauty science—each product designed to restore the hair’s inner integrity through advanced ingredient technology and sensorial balance. Unlike Davines, which emphasizes artisanal, eco-luxury Italian craftsmanship, or Olaplex, rooted in American bond-repair chemistry, Milbon focuses on holistic, microscopic hair reconstruction that delivers consistent salon-quality texture, shine, and control tailored to Japanese-style perfectionism. I chose it because it complements and contrasts Davines and Olaplex to broaden our retail offerings significantly.
A) Care Products
Smooth Line: Smoothes cuticle to enhance texture and shine, leaving hair silky- smooth and soft. The line with the broadest appeal for the most clients.
3 Shampoos & 3 Treatments (conditioner), each in Fine, Medium, and Coarse.
Luminous Bodifying Oil: Enhance smoothness and shine. This luxurious oil, enriched with baobab oil and collagen, is formulated to fortify and thicken fine, limp hair, giving maximum body and fullness for styling. Provides heat protection.
Luminous Softening Oil: Enhance smoothness and shine. This luxurious oil, enriched with baobab oil and olive squalane, is formulated to soften and tame coarse, unruly hair, making hair more flexible and movable. Provides heat protection.
Anti-Frizz Line: Eliminate frizz. Weightlessly hydrates for optimum moisture distribution inside the hair and seals it in — controlling frizz and leaving hair more manageable. Weightlessly defines waves and curls, perfect for all types of frizz-prone hair. The shampoo is free from Sodium Chloride for keratin-treatment clients.
Anti-Frizz Shampoo & Anti-Frizz treatment
Humidity Blocking Oil: Eliminate frizz. Advanced, featherlight formulation of 5 superior botanical oils (jojoba, argan, baobab, olive, and shea) locks in optimum moisture distribution ─ keeping frizz at bay. Also perfect for weightlessly defining waves and curls. Provides heat protection.
Moisture Line: Nourish dry, damaged hair. Hydrating to weightlessly replenish moisture while sealing the cuticle, leaving hair looking luminous and color more vibrant. Ideal for color treated hair, and the replenishing mist is a salon workhorse and great for reactivating curls. Slightly lighter in weight compared to the Repair Line.
Replenishing Shampoo & Replishing treatment
Weightless Replenishing Mist: Moisturize dry, brittle hair. This amino-acid packed mist weightlessly detangles for ease of styling while giving body and boosting shine. Provides heat protection.
Repair Line: Repair and reconstruct. Formulated especially for severely damaged hair to deeply nourish ─ with renewed elasticity and resilience and also safeguards from further damage.
Restorative Shampoo & Treatment
Restorative blowout primer (2 formulas which are both HERO products: Fine & Coarse); lightweight restorative cream repairs and preps hair for styling ─ enhancing the performance of blowouts and offering protection.
Volume Line: Boost volume and fullness. Weightlessly conditions and volumizes fine, flat hair. Strength-reinforcing persimmon tannin is blended with rice protein and kaolin clay to preserve touchable body and bounce.
Volumizing Shampoo & Volumizing Treatment
All of the above lines have a shampoo and treatment at the shampoo bowl. We will be getting better back bar dispensers that fit better in January.
Curl Line: Curl enhancing this line hydrates, strengthens, and defines curls for soft, manageable hair. (We can add the shampoo and treatment later if there is demand though they are more niche products in the line because there is so much else for curls in ant-frizz and wave sub-lines that we carry, as you will discover)
Curl Care Leave-In Treatment: Hydrates, strengthens, and defines curls while a lightweight, moisture-locking complex boosts water retention for lasting softness and manageability.
B) Styling Products
Creative Style Line: From soft, airy movement to high-shine or matte texture—while keeping hair touchable and polished all day. The number on the bottle indicates the level of hold from 1 to 10.
Apply to damp/towel‑dried hair before styling:

Usable on both damp and dry hair:
Texturizing Sea Mist 3 This is very different compared to other lines. It has hold and texture isn’t overly extreme, making it a hero product. For example, it is really great combined with Thickening Mist 4 for blow drying fine hair and the result is more satin than matte.
Satin Texturizing Cream 3 (use very sparingly if applying to damp hair before heat styling)
Finishing on dry hair (but waxes may be suitable off label on damp hair and even for heat styling, apparently)
